Michael – computers

Michael Ferrara took apart all of his toys as a child. Soon this interest expanded into putting them back together again, and eventually “toys” meant computers. After a college gig showing people how to use the newfangled World Wide Web, he got an internship at a multimedia company in Milwaukee, WI, where he learned how to build networks and servers. He worked as an independent IT consultant in Milwaukee for a couple of years before moving to Taos in 2002, where he chucked computers and started a literary magazine. After a year of that, he got really hungry and returned to computer work.
