Adam – cameras
Adam comes to Taos from the Hill Country of Texas via Iowa. Before moving to Taos in 2001, he worked in San Antonio, Texas at a small “mom & pop” office supplies shop that was flanked by an Office Max on one side and an Office Depot on the other. He also worked for a nation-wide retailer as a Safety & Loss Prevention specialist inspecting stores to insure that they met and complied with both company and OSHA safety standards. Adam has also worked at a high-altitude research station in the mountains of Colorado assisting with an environmental research project.
For nearly fourteen years Adam volunteered with the Civil Air Patrol where he served in many roles including Safety Officer, Unit Training Officer and Squadron Commander. During his time with the Civil Air Patrol, Adam was dual qualified as an aircrew search and rescue member and Ground Team Leader. He also volunteered his time leading his unit’s cadet program, a program where young adults from the ages of 12 to 18 can fly, learn to lead, hike, camp, get in shape, and push themselves to new limits.
Adam has been with Taos Mountain Electronics since 2002. He works in both our cellular and camera departments in addition to being the creative genius behind our advertising. He hopes to continue expanding our camera department with the addition of new cameras, accessories, and coming soon, we’ll be offering training and educational opportunities.
When he’s not busy working at TME, he is pursuing his passion in life, photography. His photography explores a variety of topics that include the landscape, culture and people of the American Southwest and Rocky Mountains. His work has been published in guide books, magazines, calendars and has been exhibited everywhere from local galleries, to national parks and a state capitol. Adam is a recipient of the Luminous Landscape Endowment Award and was an Artist-in-Residence at Grand Canyon National Park.
